Hydrogen Inhibition as Explosion Prevention in Wet Metal Dust Removal Systems

چکیده
Hydrogen energy attracts an amount of attention as environmentally friendly and sustainable source. However, hydrogen is also flammable. fires explosions might occur in wet-dust-removal systems if accumulated aluminum dust reacts with water. inhibition a safe method to address these issues. For this purpose, we used sodium citrate, renewable nontoxic raw material inhibit H2 formation. Specifically, experiments citrate were carried out using custom-built equipment developed by our research group. When the concentration solution was range 0.4–4.0 g/L, protective coating formed on surface Al particles, which prevented them from contacting The inhibitory effect achieved when certain range, too much or little addition may reduce effect. In paper, discuss economic aspects because it offers excellent safety advantages could be incorporated large scale. Such intrinsic design control applied ensure other systems, such nuclear reactors.

Explosion dust particle size measurements.
In situ measurements of the sizes and concentrations of dust particles generated by the detonation of high explosives in clay soil near Leesville, La., sandy clay soil near Huntsville, Ala., and sandy soils near Orogrande, N.M. are reported. Measurements were generally made within 1 m of the surface (in one case 10 m) at distances ranging from 10 to approximately 50 m from the detonation point ...
متن کاملOverall characterization of cork dust explosion.
Explosibility and ignitability studies of air/cork dust mixtures were conducted in a near-spherical 22.7 L explosibility test chamber using pyrotechnic ignitors and in a furnace of 1.23 L. The suspension dust burned as air-dispersed dust clouds and the uniformity of the dispersion inside the chamber was evaluated through optical dust probes. The range of tested particle sizes went from a mass m...

Comparison between Wet Oxidation and Steam Explosion as Pretreatment Methods for Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Sugarcane Bagasse
Alkaline wet oxidation and steam explosion pretreatments of sugarcane bagasse were compared with regard to biomass fractionation, formation of by-products, and enzymatic convertibility of the pretreated material. Wet oxidation led to the solubilisation of 82% of xylan and 50% of lignin, and to a two-fold increase of cellulose content in the pretreated solids, while steam explosion solubilised o...
